Die Fed kann kein Vorbild
für die EZB-Ratsreform sein

in die EU am 1. Mai 2004 sind die
zehn Beitrittsländer bereits bestrebt,
möglichst frühzeitig in die Europä-
ische Währungsunion (EWU) zu ge-
langen. Als Vorteile versprechen sie
sich neben

Mindestreserve-Erfüllungsperiode bzw. während der Laufzeit eines Hauptrefinanzie-
rungsgeschäfts beziehen, vermieden werden [...] realisieren gesamtwirtschaftliche Vorteile aufgrund des in der Regel intensivierten
Wettbewerbs. Gleichzeitig wird die Arbeitsnachfrage stärker auf Änderungen in den
Lohnkosten reagieren als in relativ
ihren Betriebsräten, sich in wirt-
schaftlich schwierigen Zeiten mit ihren
Arbeitgebern auf vom Tarifvertrag abwei-
chende Lohn- und Arbeitszeiten zu eini-
gen. So könnten sie den Schaden abwen-
den, der [...] gelockert werden. Auch er ist ein
großes Einstellungshemmnis und führt da-
zu, dass der Anteil der Langzeitarbeitslo-
sen im internationalen Vergleich enorm
hoch liegt. Zudem sollte die Politik die Ta-
rifparteien
später auch
den Euro einzuführen. Daher diskutieren Politiker und Ökonomen der-
zeit heftig über den richtigen Zeitpunkt der Euro-Einführung. Häufig
wird eine baldige Einführung gefordert. Doch diese kann [...] EU-Ländern gibt, verpflichten sich diese Länder mit dem Beitritt zur
EU dazu, zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt auch den Euro einzuführen. Die
