Job opportunities

In the Business Management study courses we provide you with broad basic knowledge to start a successful career. Depending on which course of studies you choose,  you will work after graduation as a junior manager in marketing, for example, or as a management consultant for a global player or a sought-after specialist in auditing and tax consultancy. You can also pursue a career as an HR manager, in controlling or in the management of banks and insurance companies.

Some of our graduates use what they have learnt to implement their own ideas within the framework of founding a company. Here too, we will teach you the methodological basics during your studies and provide you with advice and support.

Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Taxation (FACT)

You are interested in the fascinating world of the stock market and how you can make more out of your own money and other people's money - even in times of low interest rates. You also want to know how Amazon and Google manage to legally tax profits as low as possible through international contracts and transactions or how a cum-ex business works. Then FACT is the right place for you.

We will show you how to apply controlling tools correctly, how to evaluate companies, business units and intangible assets, how the capital markets work, how to hedge the prices of stocks and currencies and the prices of raw materials against losses, how insurance companies and their governmental support measures work and what is behind the Paradise and Panama papers. first-hand experience

        Thomas Dobat – Graduate

"Very close to practice" - that's how I would describe the business studies at the OTH Amberg-Weiden. Since numerous courses are held in cooperation with companies in the region, there is an early opportunity to apply the methodological knowledge learned in the lectures in practice and to establish professional contacts. It should also be emphasized that the professors are always available to answer questions and to talk at eye level. This familiar and at the same time challenging environment has confirmed my decision to study at the OTH Amberg-Weiden from the very beginning.

        Sonja Lindenberger – Graduate

The advantages of studying at the University of Applied Sciences in Weiden were obvious to me: personal contact with the professors and other students and the important practical relevance in teaching. Therefore, it was exactly the right decision for me to complete my business studies at the OTH Amberg-Weiden.
