Are you interested in both Engineering and Education? Then go for „Engineering Education”. Depending on your interests, you can choose between two areas of specialization: Electrical Engineering & Information Technology or Metal Engineering. The bachelor's program combines engineering contents of your desired professional specialization with vocational pedagogical and didactical contents. The completion of the bachelor's degree program in engineering pedagogy is the basis for a consecutive master's program at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). After an additional teachers training phase (Referendariat) you are entitled to work as a certified teacher at a vocational school.

Entrance requirements

General entrance qualification for admission to a university or technical college or a subject-related university entrance qualification. You may also apply for admission with a relevant vocational education and work experience.

Contents and Structure

In the course of your studies, you will gain comprehensive knowledge of the fundamentals of engineering, the various fields of electrical engineering and information technology (vocational specialisation) and computer science or mechatronics (teaching subject). In addition, you will acquire knowledge in non-technical areas such as project and self-organisation and especially in vocational education and social sciences.
