Careerday is the career contact fair of the OTH Amberg-Weiden. It takes place every year during the summer semester. On this day, students can get in contact with numerous companies from various sectors. At the same time, companies have the opportunity to introduce themselves to the young professionals of the future.

The careerday 2025 will take place on 07.05.2025 in Weiden.

A note to our international students:

We will be very happy to welcome you at our career event.

The general language of the event is German. Getting into contact with the company representatives is easiest in German. However, conversations in English are usually possible upon request as well.

careerday 2025 - Information for students

Find your next employer!

On 07 May 2025, the OTH Amberg-Weiden career fair will take place in Weiden from 9.30 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. At this event, students will have the opportunity to get in touch with potential employers and create a network for their career entry, internships or final thesis projects.

The Agentur für Arbeit will also be offering an individual application portfolio check (in German), and there will be the opportunity to have application photos taken for your portfolio’s final touch. Information on registration will be announced here soon.

For students from Amberg, we are again offering a free shuttle bus that will leave directly from the campus in Amberg and take you to the event in Weiden.

For this year's careerday we are also using the browser-based app ‘talentefinder’.

careerday meets talentefinder – swipe for your dream job

On ‘talentefinder’, companies and students create profiles that the other part can check out. On this basis, both sides decide whether they want to get in touch with each other. After a match, they can exchange messages and make appointments for the careerday on site (on 7. May in Weiden) or for a virtual meeting afterwards (on 8. May at the digital event).

Intelligent filters allow you to search for suitable job adverts on the job wall.
