Family-friendly university

The Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Amberg-Weiden sees itself as a family-friendly university. After all, the compatibility of studies or career and family responsibilities is not a personal, but a social issue, which the university supports with the implementation of numerous family-friendly measures and structures.

Therefore, the OTH Amberg-Weiden signed the charter ”Familie in der Hochschule“ in 2017 and joined the Best Practice Club of the same name.
The university also began to participate in the Familienpakt Bayern with the goal of promoting family-friendly personnel policies. The regular exchange with the members of the network contributes significantly to this.

In addition, the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Amberg-Weiden was awarded the prize „Familienfreundliches Unternehmen in der Stadt Amberg und im Landkreis Amberg-Sulzbach 2014“ ("Family-friendly company in the city of Amberg and the district of Amberg-Sulzbach 2014") in 2014 for the successful implementation of these family-friendly measures.
