E-Portfolios

‘E-portfolio is a digital collection of ‘skilfully made work’ (=lat. artefacts) of a person who wants to document and illustrate the product (learning outcomes) and the process (learning path/growth) of their competence development in a certain period of time and for certain purposes. The person concerned has independently selected the artefacts and organised them in relation to the learning objective. As the owner, he or she has complete control over who, when and how much information from the portfolio may be viewed.’                                         Hornung-Prähauser et al. (2007)

Basic idea: Students create an e-portfolio for a specific course and collect the results of various assignments over the course of the semester. Pages or collections are created and suitable artefacts are inserted.

Mobile film studio in Weiden

What is the mobile film studio for?

Our aim was to give professors in Weiden the opportunity to record teaching and learning videos independently and flexibly in a professional environment and to create an alternative to our large film studio in Amberg. The aim was to be able to produce a high-quality end product while keeping the operation of the technology as simple and intuitive as possible.

What can the mobile film studio do?

With the mobile film studio, you can independently record videos for your lecture, for example, with just a few settings. Immediately after recording the video, you will receive a finished product with an individual intro and outro, which you can copy from the external hard disk to your PC and use. You can integrate your computer with a presentation via HDMI, for example, and switch between different picture settings at the touch of a button.

How does the mobile film studio work?

If you are interested in the mobile film studio and want to find out more about how it works, you can watch an instruction video at the following link, which explains all the important operating steps:

Instruction video

Where is the mobile film studio?

The mobile film studio is located in Weiden in the main building (WEBIS/WIG) in room 225. To use the mobile film studio, please use the booking calendar.

Why should you make teaching-learning videos?

Videos make knowledge accessible at any time, can be reused and can be used to repeat what has been learned. Learners can watch videos from any location and at their own pace. Further information and tips and tricks for designing learning videos can be found in the overview below.

If you are interested or have any questions about video production, please contact Jonas Winkel: j.winkel@oth-aw.de
